Kara is a 2026 graduate of Boston College, where she earned academic and team honors throughout her collegiate career. She was named to the Hockey East All-Academic Team four consecutive years, was a Top 5 finalist for the Hockey Humanitarian Award, and served as President of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee during her senior year.

Originally from Belmont, Massachusetts, Kara grew up playing for Assabet Valley and the Boston Junior Eagles before continuing her hockey career at Boston College.

Kara graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Applied Psychology and Human Development with a concentration in Special Education and will continue her education this fall at Boston University, pursuing her master’s degree in Child Life & Family-Centered Care.
